A little weekend restoration project..

When I was eight years old, I made this little stool at a summer camp program at a crafts and fabric shop. It was pre-cut so all I had to do was pick out my fabric and a color to paint the frame. It was the best stool ever. Until it broke a few weeks ago. So instead of merely refastening the screws, I made a project out of it.

After sanding down the paint, re-drilling the holes, re-painting the frame, designing and sewing together a new cover, I reassembled the whole thing piece by piece. And this time it's sturdy enough to support my weight, even fourteen years after its initial construction.
