I am starting a new project. A couple of them actually, but I only have digital concepts for one of them at the moment to post about. It is a self-directed book about the timeline of the earth as compared to one calendar year. I know, I know... it's an old concept that's been in textbooks and on television. But which ones are accurate and which are complete? I am still researching and editing content from multiple sources, all of which will be listed and credited. I am also planning on designing additional materials to accompany each book including bookmarks, notepads, dinosaur species cards, and even a full color poster insert which would feature a condensed version of the timeline that kids could display at home or teachers in classrooms. All in all, I'm hoping for this to be a really cool book!

Basically, the point of this book is to create a detailed, yet easily accessible compilation of all pertinent information on the subject. For those who have never even heard of the idea, imagine the 365-day calendar year to represent the entire evolutionary history of the earth, with January 1st being the day the earth was formed, and midnight on December 31st as today. To get an idea of how radical a scale that is, the human species does not appear on the timeline until 11:57pm on December 31st. Our two thousand plus year documented history falls within the last 30 seconds or so! Kind of hard to fathom, right? Well that's why I'm putting together this book.
